Light is the only material we work in.
Everything else — ceramic, brass, opal, printed resin — is there to hold it still long enough to be looked at.

No single lamp can be all of these. That is why there are four collections and not one.
What we hold to

A lamp is furniture before it is a light.
It sits in a room all day doing nothing. It has to be worth looking at switched off, or it is only an appliance that happens to be shaped like an object.

Warmth is a measurement, not a mood.
2700K, every piece, every collection. Cooler reads as an office and warmer reads as a filter. We have tested the alternatives and gone back each time.

The object should not explain itself.
No branding on the shade, no logo on the base, no app. If a piece needs a manual to be understood, the shape has failed and no amount of copy will fix it.
How they are made
Small runs, slow finishing
Every piece is printed or cast in short runs, then finished by hand — the seam sanded back, the shade seated, the light checked against a wall before it is packed.
It is the checking that takes the time. A lamp can measure correctly and still be wrong in a room, and there is no instrument for that part.
