The sphere
Opal acrylic, diffused all the way through rather than coated, so the light leaves it evenly and the surface has no bright spot to look at.
The stand
A printed crescent holding the sphere off the surface. It carries the colour; the moon stays the same in every hour of the run.
Care
A dry cloth. The opal marks with solvents and the crescent is matte — neither wants anything wet.
Made to be left on, and forgotten about.

Seven hours. One moon.
This is one of them. The other six are the same light at a different hour of the same night.
Why this shape
No front, no top.
Every other shape here chooses a direction to send light. A sphere refuses to: it gives the same light back to the whole room, which is why it is the one that belongs beside a bed.
